The weeping and gnashing of teeth around our house proves Monday is back.
The oldest is hormonal, angry she has to wake early for her liberal-arts school, and anxious about new semester classes.
The youngest hates the pile of work I’ve set aside for lessons and believes her home-school experience should equate the un-school philosophy. (Which is fine for some families, but not my style.)
Oh, the humanity!
When I watch Vi Hart on YouTube I am instantly energized by young learning. Neither of my girls learn best in the “traditional, public-school” way. I pray that the educational direction we are headed will inspire them into further creative thinking and they, too, will learn different ways to “connect the dots.”
