The Good News This Week…February 7

I would like one week without so much hate in the news. Is that too much to ask? The sadness is one thing – but the hate really gets to me. Here’s some happy to throw in there!

Sharing a Moment
Last week, I shared a news article about my friend Cornelia. She and her husband, Chris, were pedestrians struck by a car one month ago. Yesterday, we were able to visit. It’s going to be a long road, but I was so glad to see -with my own eyes- she was going to make it. And knowing her, probably come out stronger than she was before.

So nice to see couples who’ve stayed together. Edd and I are approaching 19 years. When someone asked what our secret was, I said, “Therapy. Lots of therapy.”

I need to do this – forget my husband! But I wonder if Edd would do this if I weren’t around. Lucky for us, we have girls who watch YouTube videos and do their own hair.

Baby Sees Mom for the First Time
I’m a sucker for videos showing cochlear implant patients hearing for the first time. But this young one with glasses? Oh, man. I could watch it over and over. In fact, I have.

I’m a big fan of C.S. Lewis’ The Screwtape Letters. Here is a modern retelling. And oh so convicting!

Sharing a Video
Because I’m totally on the Brené Brown bandwagon and everything she says seems directed at only me – this animated video is just one more talk which is spot on.

Hope something here inspired you or brought a smile to your face! Praying for more good news than bad this week, surely for less hate.
