Is talking about mental illness still taboo?
Shattering Stigma with Stories, founded by Tara Rolstad, includes a leadership team and group of speakers encouraging others to shed light on bi-polar disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders and more.
Do you suffer from a mental illness? Does a loved one? Are you in ministry? Do you interact with other people?
If you answered “yes” to any of the above, Shattering Stigma is for you. Listen to the words of Leadership Team member, Leanne Sype. If you have any questions, comment below and we’ll get those questions answered for you.
Shattering Stigma takes place on January 30 at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church. Click here for the website and more information.
Bonus: Leanne is working on a beautiful children’s book, The Hungry Garden, and YOU can be a part of the beta-testing team. Read more info here.

This is a great service. Do you know of anything like this in Michigan. I would love to attend. My daughter suffers with bipolar disorder. It would be great to have more people in the church that could help others deal with mental illness.
