12 Things For Which I Forget To Be Thankful

Freedom from Want, Norman Rockwell

I’m always grateful for the big stuff. You know – family, friends, income, and a place to live. But daily there are things I take for granted; things so much a part of my routine, I forget how fortunate I am to have them.

I get to have:

Clean Water
Electricity
Washing Machine and Dryer
Clothes for my kids as they grow
Health care
An education
A country where I can express my opinions
A church where I can express my opinions
Refrigeration
Blankets
Books. Lots and lots of books.
A flush toilet

The links on my thankfulness list will take you to websites helping those who don’t have similar items easily accessible. If you have been given much, consider giving to others in need.

I’ll be taking a few days off of the blog circuit to devote my time to family and entertaining and cleaning and cooking and connecting. Not all in that order.

I pray your Thanksgiving is full of love, meaning, and freedom from want. Be well.

This is awesome! I loved "Bird by Bird" and am intrigued by her other books. I can't wait for our library to have a copy of the new book

I appreciate how honest she is about the writing process. It sure is comforting to know that one is not alone 🙂

I am thankful for the miracle each morning of being able to open my eyes and see the day the Lord has made and allowing me to enjoy every moment.
