Hold on, hold on. Don’t touch your screen yet. Let me get the feather duster…
Ok, there. Whew. Not blogging during Lent certainly has left a lot of dust bunnies around here. Now. What were we talking about?
Oh. Lent.
Yes. I gave up blogging for Lent because I was beginning to feel like everything I experienced needed to be turned into a blog post. This isn’t a bad thing, necessarily. But for me, with all the turmoil in the world, I wanted to be quiet for a while. I needed to pray in my own language – not an edited, re-formatted, less than 750 word offering.
A lot has happened in the 40+ days I remained blogger-free. Good, exciting, life-changing stuff. But also, sadness, terror, and un-necessary deaths.
The world hasn’t transformed because I took pause in my writing, but I have. I’m excited to see where new adventures take me. I look forward to sharing my stories with you.
During Advent, I read the book The Grand Paradox, by Ken Wytsma. During Lent, I took this prayer he wrote as my own. Easter is over, but this Lenten practice? This I’ll keep with me for a lifetime.

Thanks, Jennifer! I have to admit – it was a good break. I totally get thinking in blog titles. I've stopped doing that for now…we'll see how long it lasts. 🙂
